If you are going to set up a company or intend to go abroad to live, work or study, you will need formal certification of translated documents. We provide a speedy, professional translation of these documents and can have them
formally certified (with the translator’s signature and the stamp of the translation agency and a notary).
Our certification
We bind the translated document with its original or copy and put the agency’s stamp on it, while the translator signs it to acknowledge that he/she is familiar with Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania providing for liability for false or knowingly incorrect translation, thus confirming that the translation is accurate and true.
Certification by a notary
The notary certifies the translator’s signature. This means that the notary has concluded a cooperation agreement with the translation agency and that he/she knows the professional qualifications of translators employed by the agency.
The notary may also certify a copy of the document; however, it is important to know that a notary does not certify official documents issued in foreign countries if such documents do not have an apostille or a consular legalisation mark (except for Estonia, Latvia, Moldova and Ukraine, from which an apostille (legalisation) is not required).
Notarial certification may be necessary if you submit translations of documents to foreign state authorities.
We cooperate with the following notary offices: Vilnius Notary Office No 11, Vilnius Notary Office No 15 and Vilnius Notary Office No 35, etc. We perform document certification ourselves on behalf of our clients. We can also arrange to have an apostille affixed to a document.
